Return from Mobilization Checklist

As you plan your return from a military mobilization, there are several things to keep in mind to ensure a smooth re-entry into Jax State:

1. Make an appointment with your academic advisor
   1. Discuss what semester that you plan to return to Jax State.
   2. Depending on how long you have been gone, you may have to reapply to Jax State:
      • Undergraduate Returning Student
      • Graduate Previously Applied/Returning Student 
   3. Discuss what courses you need for the 1^st semester back and develop a plan for how you will complete your degree.
2. Check in with Financial Aid
   1. Depending on when you return to Jax State, you may need to submit the latest FAFSA to access your federal aid.
   2. Discuss scholarships/grants you had prior to mobilizing and if anything is needed to continue using those.
3. Check in with Veteran and Military Services
   1. Depending on your VA or military education benefit, you may need to submit documents to Veteran and Military Services to use your education benefits when you return to Jax State.
4. Take advantage of resources provided on-campus
   1. Jax State has a variety of resources available to you as you return to campus. Utilizing the resources provided on campus will make your return more seamless.
