  • Courses that prepared me for law school: In terms of practical courses that helped me prepare for law school I would advise choosing courses that you’re interested in with a strong critical writing component. Law school and legal work is all about writing well and writing often. I truly believe that my participation on the Model U.N. team helped prepare me for law school because I was allowed to practice my advocacy and negotiation skills as well as team work. I also participated in an independent study at a local law firm which helped me understand the practical components of the practice. I would advise any undergraduates interesting in law to take advantage of all opportunities available whether it be practical courses, extracurricular activities, internships or study abroad programs!
  • Advice for those preparing for law school: Take advantage of the practice LSAT opportunities on campus whenever it is offered. It is a great way to practice the exam in a simulated environment before the big day. Do your best in your undergraduate courses to ensure you have a strong transcript for your law school application. Be an active participant in class and build good relationships with your professors so they feel confident in providing a strong letter of recommendation for your law school application.
