Dr. Lori J. Owens, Dean, Honors and Special Programs, holds the name of Professor of Political Science at JSU. Dr. Owens also serves as Director of the Honors Program.
Dr. Owens received her Ph.D. and M.A. in Political Science (2001, 1995) from the University of Alabama. She completed her B.A. in Political Science (1993) cum laude at Jacksonville State University.
