Christy Clasgens Stone joined the Marching Southerners Staff in March 2026, after serving as Administrative Assistant for the Jax State Office of Alumni Engagement since January 2022.  As Operations Assistant, Christy coordinates all travel, meals, equipment purchases and repairs, and contracts for the Marching Southerners. She also manages the Social Media Team, Uniform Crew, and Student Office Assistants. She also runs the Marching Southerners Facebook and Instagram pages during football games and other events.  

Christy earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Communications (2019) and her Master of Public Administration (2026) from Jax State. She played Vibraphone with the Marching Southerners Front Ensemble from 2015-2019 and has been an active member of the Jax State Steel Drum Band since 2016.  

Christy is a lifelong fine arts lover from a large family of musicians. Her parents, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins, play musical instruments and were all involved in marching band. Her sister, Janie, is a professional singer with Disney's Voices of Liberty, and her cousin David is a professional pianist and percussionist across multiple Disney parks. 

Christy met her husband Corey through the Marching Southerners in 2018, during the band's trip to the World Peace Parade in Italy. Corey marched tenor saxophone with the Marching Southerners from 2017-2019.
