Transfer Scholarships

2023-2024 Transfer Merit-Based Scholarships (GPA-Based)*

Transfer students will be considered automatically for transfer scholarships upon admission to JSU. Out-of-state students receiving a transfer scholarship will qualify to pay their remaining tuition balance at the in-state rate.

  • Academic merit scholarships are awarded based on students' highest cumulative JSU-calculated transfer GPA.
  • All Transfer Merit Scholarships allow students transferring from any accredited community college OR 4-year university to qualify.

Other Forms of Financial Aid

83% of JSU students are on some form of financial aid. To determine your eligibility, you'll need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online for the aid year you will be attending. Once you have completed the FAFSA and have supplied the required documents to JSU's Financial Aid Office, you will receive official information regarding any awards for which you may qualify.

Transfer students may also apply for additional competitive scholarships including foundation, theatre and film, and music and performance scholarships. To apply, students will need to complete application(s) through JSU's Scholarship Manager.
