My name is Jennifer Yocum, and I am from Jacksonville, AL. I currently reside in Piedmont with my husband Michael and our 3 daughters. We live on our own little piece of paradise with a pond, 2 dogs, 3 cats, and 15 chickens. When not spending time with my family, I enjoy reading and napping!

I serve as JSU’s Coordinator of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services. I have worked with the Office of Disability Resources (previously known as Disability Support Services) since 2005. I have a BS in Education with a Concentration in Interpreting from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a MS in Counseling from Jacksonville State University. I am a nationally certified sign language interpreter (NIC) as well as a member of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), and the Alabama Board of Interpreters and Transliterators (ALBIT). I also hold an Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) certification.

I look forward to working with you during your time at JSU!

Sincerely,

Jennifer Yocum
