Criminal Justice Alumni Association Scholarship
Jacksonville State University, in conjunction with the Department of Criminal Justice & Forensic Investigation Alumni Association, is providing scholarship opportunities for students in criminal justice degree programs. Students must meet all of the following criteria:- Be a United States citizen, national, or alien admitted as a refugee at the time of application;
- Be enrolled full time as a Department of Criminal Justice student either in the undergraduate or graduate program;
- Possess a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.75 based on a 4.0 scale and/or a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale in their major studies.
- Transfer Students Only: A transfer student's eligibility will be based on the same criteria as any other JSU student, and will be determined by their transcripts from their previous institution of higher education. Transcripts MUST be submitted to JSU and entered into the system prior to applying for the scholarship.
- Incoming Freshman Only: An incoming freshman's eligibility will be based on the same criteria as other students', and will be determined by their transcripts from their high school and/or a minimum score of either a 23 on the Enhanced American College Test (ACT) or 1100 on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). Transcripts and/or scores MUST be submitted to JSU and entered into the system prior to applying for the scholarship.

CCCBA Scholarship
Jacksonville State University and the Calhoun/Cleburne County Bar Association are providing scholarship opportunities for students in the criminal justice degree programs. Students must meet all of the following criteria:- Be a United States citizen, national, or alien admitted as a refugee at the time of application;
- Be enrolled full time as a Department of Criminal Justice & Forensic Investigation student in the undergraduate program;
- A student must possess a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.75 based on a 4.0 scale and/or a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale in their major studies;
- A student MUST have achieved at least junior status (a minimum of 64 hours completed).
- Transfer Students Only: A transfer student's eligibility will be based on the same criteria as any other JSU student, and will be determined by their transcripts from their previous institution of higher education. Transcripts MUST be submitted to JSU and entered into the system prior to applying for the scholarship.
- Preference will be given to criminal justice students that are originally from Calhoun or Cleburne County.

The Ernst Selig Scholarship for Custodial Corrections
A selection committee invites applicants annually from among students in the offender rehabilitation concentration contemplating a career in custodial corrections. Students must meet the following criteria:- Must be a full-time undergraduate student concentrating in offender rehabilitation.
- Plan to work in an adult prison, jail, or adolescent facility.
- Must submit a 500 to 1,000 word essay, double spaced, describing their qualifications, motivations, and career goals to scholarships@jsu.edu. The essay should include the name of the scholarship, student's full name, email address, postal address, student ID number, the total number of semester hours completed, and GPA along with the total number of Criminal Justice (CJ) semester hours completed, and GPA. It should include any published works or professional presentations and note any assistance with faculty research the student has provided. Applicants should list any professional CJ student organizations they belong to and positions held in these. They should note any external responsibilities carried during their enrollment at JSU, e.g. married, caring for a child or older parent. Add any comments and additional information they believe will be helpful to the scholarship committee.

JSU Criminal Justice May and Summer Scholarships
The JSU Department of Criminal Justice & Forensic Investigation offers scholarships for those students hoping to attend classes in May or summer sessions. Applicants must be currently enrolled as a JSU-CJ major or graduate student, and attending classes in one or more of the sessions between May and August 2019. Scholarships will be given in each of the following categories:- CJ majors in the Offender Rehabilitation concentration
- CJ majors in the Forensic Investigations concentration
- CJ majors in the Law Enforcement concentration
- Graduate students in the CJ-MS degree program
- CJ at Large - given independently of one's concentration or CJ degree
Awards will be announced in March 2019, during pre-registration. A brief written statement of your career goals and why you feel deserving of this scholarship award, along with the name of the scholarship, your full name and JSU student ID number should be emailed to scholarships@jsu.edu.
