Jacksonville State University offers various scholarships for entering freshman as well as returning and transfer students. Academic Scholar scholarships are given consideration to entering freshmen based on unconditional acceptance prior to the March 1 deadline. Awarding of these academic scholarships is contingent upon submission of the on line application, receipt of official ACT/SAT test scores, completion of an admission application and unconditional acceptance.

Most scholarships are based on the applicant's academic or extracurricular record, while some are based on demonstrated financial need. Students must complete a scholarship application to be considered for those scholarships listed on the University Scholarship listing. Those requesting scholarships based on need should also submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The quickest way to apply is online.

Remember: March 1, 2015, is the deadline to apply. In order to receive any scholarship you must be unconditionally accepted, and have submitted an application, official test scores, and any supporting documentation as required by the specific scholarship.
