The entering Freshman Academic Scholarship Committee meets weekly. All scholarship offers are sent to the JSU Student Email account. Please monitor your JSU Student email account for important messages from our office which will only be sent to your JSU GEM account. Your student email logon information is reflected in your JSU Admissions letter.
The 2016 - 2017 application closed on 1 March 2016. Scholarship recipients have been selected and Students were sent email notification of the status of their application through their JSU STU account.
The 2017-2018 scholarship application period will open soon.
The JSU Presidential Scholarship. The 2016-2017 scholarship will pay 12 in-state traditional classroom tuition hours for the Fall and for the Spring Semesters and is renewable for 1 additional year, total of 48 semester hours. The 2017-2018 scholarship is currently under review. Please check back for updates.

Most scholarships are based on the applicant's academic or extracurricular record, while some are based on demonstrated financial need. Students must complete a scholarship application to be considered for those scholarships listed on the University Scholarship listing. Those requesting scholarships based on need should also submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The quickest way to apply is online.
Remember: The 2017-2018 application deadline will be announced soon. In order to receive any scholarship, except for the exclusion of band/music audition, scholarships you must be unconditionally accepted, and have submitted an application, official test scores, and any supporting documentation as required by the specific scholarship. Band/Music audition scholarships require conditional or unconditional acceptance.
