What is Success Coaching?

Success coaching is a service that assists students with time management, motivation, using academic resources, and accountability to ensure students are successful. Success coaches also address faculty-issued alerts in Navigate and refer students to other campus resources.

Adult Learner: Steps to Success

August 29th| 6:00 PM-7:00 PM| Virtually via Teams 

In this workshop, adult students will learn how to be successful by taking advantage of JSU's free resources. Learn how to get connected with your success coach, in-person and virtual tutoring services, supplemental instruction, parent support group, and more.

High School to College: What to Know
August 30| 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM | Houston Cole Library Room 1101 C

Looking for ways to make the transition from high school to college easier? This workshop focuses on various topics and resources that will make that transition smoother. Students attending this workshop will learn about the Student Success Center resources offered, important dates, final exam schedule, and what is expected to be successful in JSU courses.

Midterm Prep: Testing Strategies
Tuesday, September 27th | 5:00-6:00 PM| In-person and virtual option

Looking for ways to perform better on tests? This workshop focuses on various strategies and approaches to different test formats. Students attending this program will learn skills for test preparation, improving memory, and test-taking strategies.

Student Success One-Stop Shop

September 28th| 11 AM-1 PM| Theron Montgomery Building (TMB), 3rd floor Auditorium

Hey Gamecocks! The Student Success Center is hosting a One-Stop Shop for campus services on September 28th from 11am – 1pm in the TMB Auditorium. The first 200 students in attendance will receive a voucher for a free Chick-fil-A sandwich!
