Director of First and Second Year Experience
Keaton Glass is the Director of First and Second Year Experience at Jacksonville State University. A two-time Jax State graduate, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Mathematics Education and a Master of Business Administration.
Keaton joined Jax State in 2018 as Coordinator of First and Second Year Experience and was promoted to Director in 2021. In this role, he leads initiatives that support student transition, engagement, leadership development, and retention. Since 2026, the office has operated within the Division of Student Affairs, where he continues to enhance programs that help students succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
During his tenure, Keaton helped establish a peer mentoring program for SSC 101 and founded Jax State's chapter of Lambda Sigma, the national honor society for second-year students. Under his leadership, the chapter has received national recognition, including Chapter of the Year honors. He currently serves as Vice President of the Lambda Sigma National Board and has been recognized nationally as Advisor of the Year.
Keaton also oversees the Gamecock Orientation (GO!) Program and led the development of Jax State's online orientation program in 2024, expanding access and support for incoming students and their families.
Passionate about student success, Keaton is committed to creating meaningful opportunities that help students build connections, develop leadership skills, engage in service, and thrive throughout their collegiate experience. Outside of work, he enjoys attending Jax State athletic events and spending time with his wife and two children.
