Crisis Cleanup Needs Virtual Volunteers!
Survivors of Hurricanes Need Your Help!
Right now, there is an urgent need for virtual volunteers to help register storm damage to get nonprofit groups that provide free food, water, debris clean-up outside / inside homes, repair work, and total home rebuilding services for survivors of Hurricane(s) Milton & Helene.
Jax State's Student Chapter of the International Association of Emergency Managers (JSU-IAEM) is now a registered partner with Crisis Cleanup, a work order management platform that relies on nonprofit volunteers to respond to emergency needs (i.e., Salvation Army, Red Cross, Mennonite Disaster Service, Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, etc.).
We desperately need volunteers to return calls and complete disaster survivor intakes.
Crisis Cleanup operates on an easy-to-learn virtual platform, allowing you to contribute from home giving as little as an hour of your time to change someone’s life. They provide our volunteers with a virtual phone number to keep your personal information private.
As JSU’s IAEM Student Chapter continues working with disaster aid organizations and government agencies, we ask everyone who can to contribute time and volunteer.
Recovery can’t begin until these groups know where to deploy, and your efforts will provide that crucial information about who needs help and where to find them.
If you’re able to help those suffering in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton or Helene, please sign-up by emailing jsuiaem@jsu.edu. We will send you an email invitation to create a user account.
The skills you gain from this experience will be valuable for your future and will allow you to make a meaningful contribution someone in need from home after a terrible disaster.
