MIke Suco

Mike Suco is the President and CEO of Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED, the second largest privately held Coca-Cola bottler in North America and the third-largest in the United States.  Coca-Cola UNITED operates over 50 facilities across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee, employing over 10,000 associates. 

Prior to his current role, Mike was senior vice president and chief commercial officer.  He served as UNITED's East Region Vice-President from 2016 to 2021, based in Atlanta, where he led the integration of the Atlanta Market Unit, the company's largest territory acquisition, which added over 2,000 new associates and 13,000 new customers. 

Mike grew up in Jacksonville, Alabama, where his family moved after immigrating from Cuba to the United States in 1962.  His grandfather was a professor at Miles College in Birmingham, his mother was a Spanish professor at Jacksonville State University, and his father was a district manager and store manager for Big B Drugs. 

Mike's career in the Coca-Cola system began in 1996 as a Market Development Manager for The Coca-Cola Company and would later join Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED in 1999 as the Director of Marketing and Key Accounts for the Birmingham Division. 

Before joining The Coca-Cola Company, Mike worked for The Ernest and Julio Gallo Winery, where he started as a front-line merchandiser and salesperson in their distributor network in Ft. Myers, Florida.  He would hold several leadership roles with E & J Gallo over his 5-year career. 

Mike is actively involved in several industry organizations, serving on the boards of The Coca-Cola Bottlers' Association, the Dr Pepper Bottlers Association, and the American Beverage Association.  He also has a long history of civic and community engagement, including being on the boards of the Smithsonian Museum of the American Latino, Oglethorpe University, The Fernbank Museum of Natural History, The Hispanic Business Council, Fiesta Hispanic Cultural Festival, YMCA of Greater Birmingham, and The Birmingham Business Alliance. 

He holds a B.S. in Business Management from Jacksonville State University and has been married to the love of his life, Shelley, for 26 years.  They have two children, Bella and Michael Jr. In his free time, Mike enjoys competing in marathons, Ironman triathlons, and golf.
