The MSN in Population Health Nursing is designed to prepare advanced population health nurses to address the needs of your community and beyond in the 21st Century.

The MSN in Nursing Education prepares advanced community health nurses to teach in schools and colleges of nursing or clinical agencies and hospitals.

Today's healthcare organizations need to be ready for anything. The MSN in Emergency Management offers advanced knowledge and skills in emergency preparedness, planning and management from the nurse coordinator perspective.

Doctoral Nursing students Doctor of Nursing Practice

JSU Nursing offers three Doctor of Nursing Practice tracks. These include the BSN-DNP Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) track, Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) track, and the Post-Master’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) track. The Doctor of Nursing Practice is a terminal degree in nursing that prepares Registered Nurses (RNs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to practice at the highest level of the profession.

We strive to provide quality nursing education to a wide network of current and future healthcare providers. Each state has its own process for approving out-of-state distance education programs. All JSU Nursing programs may not be available in all states. Please contact us for more information about availability of JSU distance education programs in your state. NOTE: Currently, only residents of Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, and Tennessee are eligible for application consideration in our nurse practitioner (BSN-DNP) tracks.
