My name is Jim Roebuck and I love teaching mathematics. I earned my Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Secondary Mathematics from JSU in 2004, my Master’s of Arts Degree in Secondary Mathematics from the University of Alabama in 2007, and my Educational Specialist Degree in Secondary Mathematics from JSU in 2010.
I have taught for JSU since 2008 as an adjunct instructor. I have taught Dual Enrollment for JSU since 2014 at Weaver High School in Calhoun County. I have taught high school mathematics since 2005 teaching everything from 7th grade through PreCalculus.
In 2023-2024, I was awarded the Jacksonville State University Adjunct Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award and I was a nominee for the College of Arts, Humanities, and Sciences Adjunct Faculty of the Year.
I was Calhoun County Schools Teacher of the Month in November 2019, and I was the Weaver High School Teacher of the Year in both 2013 and 2015.
