Are you a student interested in broadening your cultural horizons and meeting friends from all over the globe? Would you like to network, build leadership skills, get mentored and contribute to the globalization of our community?
The Jones International House Program provides a window on the world for students at Jacksonville State University and the surrounding community.
The program began in 1946 with four students from France and originally focused on language. While emphasis is still placed on languages, greater importance is now placed on promoting global understanding and peace between all nations and cultures.
There are 40 members of the program— 20 American students and 20 internationals. Each international student is from a different country and is roomed with an American student.
