Susan Shellhorse began teaching at Jacksonville State University in the Fall 2007 semester as an adjunct; she became a full time instructor in the Fall 2008 semester. Since then, she has enjoyed teaching a variety of classes and has piloted classes, such as American Gothic Literature and Major Authors: J. R. R. Tolkien. Ms. Shellhorse and Mrs. Tanya Sasser began the Common Grounds podcast in the Fall 2019 semester in order to provide entertainment and insight to the JSU community of faculty and students.
