Dr. Bollini has been with JSU since 2019. His research interest is American literature of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. As a particular focus, Dr. Bollini devotes attention to the nature of loneliness as depicted in African American literature, Southern Gothic literature, and literature of the urban experience. Even in composition courses, Dr. Bollini prioritizes discussions that destigmatize loneliness and that investigate the desire to self-isolate.
