My name is Paige Rochus, and as the Assistant Director of Community Standards at Jacksonville State University, I oversee the conduct processes for both students and student groups/organizations within the campus community. I am committed to prevention efforts and ensuring that all conduct processes are procedurally sound, educational, and transparent. My goal is to hold students accountable while also supporting their growth and success during their time at Jax State and beyond.

At the heart of my work is a deep passion for helping students learn from their experiences and overcome challenges. I believe in an approach that not only addresses behavior and holds individuals accountable but also repairs harm, prevents recurrence, and educates in a meaningful and supportive way.

Before stepping into this role in October 2024, I spent over a decade in law enforcement, after having first served in the United States Coast Guard right after high school. In 2017, I joined Jacksonville State University as part of the University Police Department, where I held the positions of Communications Supervisor and Crime Analyst. My time at UPD ignited my passion for engaging with the Jacksonville State community and focusing on prevention. A highlight of my time at UPD was designing and launching the Cocky Watch Campus Safety mobile application, which empowers our community by enhancing crime prevention and promoting campus safety.

I’m also a proud alum of Jacksonville State University, where I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Creative Writing.

Originally from Ohio, I’ve called Alabama home since leaving the military in 2012. I’m happily married and a proud stepmother to two wonderful daughters. Outside of work, I enjoy collecting stones and plants—which you’ll find plenty of in my office if you stop by! I’m also an avid animal lover and share my home with a turtle, a hedgehog, and two dogs.
