Academic Policies

The following policies of the School of Education work in accord with the Jacksonville State University Student Handbook.

The School of Education "Grade Appeals Policy" explains the process students must follow should they wish to appeal a posted course grade.

The School of Education "Honesty Policy" includes cheating and plagiarism.

The School of Education "Grade Dismissal Policy" includes the "D" and "F" Dismissal policy that covers all programs in the School of Education, and the Grade Point Average (GPA) Dismissal Policy which is for those students accepted into teacher education.

Disciplinary Action Committee - In the event that a student exhibits severe disciplinary problems, encounters legal problems that are likely to result in an inability to become a certified teacher, has ongoing and uncorrected dispositional problems or other problems of a very serious nature, the student will be referred to the Disciplinary Action Committee.
