London, UK – Led by Dr. Danyel Munster
Program Dates: December 26th ,2025 – January 7th ,2026
Healthcare inevitably involves complex ethical issues, such as patient autonomy, justice, and resource allocation. This winter – in London -- explore the differences and similarities between how the American and British healthcare systems address those kinds of issues. Visits to historical sites, such as the Florence Nightingale Museum and the Old Operating Theatre Museum, and contemporary sites, such as charitable organizations working to improve health and care in England, will provide valuable insights and new perspectives on the ethical challenges facing healthcare professionals. This course is ideal for students interested in healthcare policy, nursing, public health, and medical ethics, providing a unique opportunity to study these topics in the dynamic context of London.
