Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society
Alpha Sigma Lambda (ASL) is a premier nationally recognized honor society for adult and nontraditional learners. For the past 75 years, Alpha Sigma Lambda has supported the top achieving adult students through recognition and opportunities. Alpha Sigma Lambda is the first chapter-based honor society specifically for adults who manage their classes with other responsibilities including families, careers, and more.

Our Chapter
Omega Epsilon is Jax State’s new chapter of the Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society and offers adult and non-traditional students the opportunity to be recognized for their collegiate academic achievement at both the university and national level.
Who Can Join?
Membership is by invitation only each academic year and based upon the following criteria:
- Students aged 25 or older
- Current adult/non-traditional students seeking an undergraduate degree
- Top 20% of adult students who earn a 3.2 cumulative GPA or higher
- Completion of 24 credit hours at Jax State

- $50 lifetime (one-time) membership fee

*Students invited to join ASL will receive an official invitation by mail, along with an email, with instructions for submitting the lifetime membership fee and acceptance application. Induction ceremony details will also be included.

Tau Sigma Honor Society
Tau Sigma is a nationally recognized academic honor society designed specifically to recognize and promote the academic excellence and involvement of transfer students. Eta Chi is Jax State’s chapter and offers transfer students the opportunity to be recognized for their collegiate academic achievement at both the university and national level.
Who Can Join?
Membership is by invitation only each semester and based upon the following criteria:
- First time transfer student with minimum of 24 hours
- Completion of one full semester (12 hours) at Jax State
- Top 20% of all incoming transfers or 3.5 GPA or higher
