Welcome to the JSU Online Course Certification Program. This process has been designed to achieve the following objectives:
- To provide a standardized framework by which all online courses are assessed
- To ensure that all online courses are meeting best practices in online course design
- To create a systemic process to regularly assess online course quality on a scheduled basis
- To ensure that all online courses are meeting guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Education
- To provide a clear, easy pathway to assist faculty in preparing their online courses

The Course Design Workbook is designed to assist faculty in preparing online courses to successfully pass a course certification review. The workbook contains five chapters, as well as resources, templates, and worksheets. The course review rubric by which all online courses are assessed can also be found linked within this document. Instructors are encouraged to work through the concepts and activities within this workbook to help them prepare their online courses. |
