Ms. Kimberly Mitchell is the Career Technical Education Specialist and Program Chair in the Family and Consumer Sciences Department. She advises students in FCS Education and Business Marketing Education. She has over 20 years of high school teaching experience and has served in a number of administrative capacities.
She is the past president of the Alabama Association for Career Technical Education(ALACTE)and currently serves as the association’s Vice President of Governmental Affairs and Public Policy Chair. She is a former ACTE National Leadership Fellow. Ms. Mitchell also currently serves on the Association for Career Technical Education (ACTE) Family and Consumer Sciences Division National Policy Committee as well as several committees at the association’s regional level. She is also a member of the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences as well other professional organizations.
