FCS Culinary Invitational

Excitement was high at Jacksonville State University, Alabama recently as the Hospitality and Culinary Program hosted its first culinary competition. Albertville High School, Boaz High School and Talladega City School competed for bragging rights under the watchful eyes and tastebuds of the judges panel, which consisted of an executive chef, a dietitian, a food service manager and two college professors! The purpose was two-fold: get the word out about JSU's growing and evolving culinary program, and cook good food! After a successful debut we anticipate that this will be an annual event that will be expanded to high schools throughout the state of Alabama.
