Dr. Godbey is Program Coordinator and Associate Professor of the Occupational Safety and Health Management Program at Jacksonville State University. His educational background includes a Ph.D. in Industrial & Systems Engineering focusing on Industrial Safety and Ergonomics from Auburn University and a Masters and Bachelors degree from the University of Michigan in Industrial & Operations Engineering. Dr. Godbey is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Safety Management Specialist (SMS) through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP). Dr. Godbey has several years experience in the automotive industry working with Ford Motor Company and General Motors. Dr. Godbey consults with numerous organizations, locally and nationally, in the area of Industrial Safety & Ergonomics. Dr. Godbey is an authorized OSHA outreach trainer in general industry and construction safety. Dr. Godbey’s research interests are in the area of organizational and individual safety performance measurement.
