High School Documents Required by Country

Please note that students whose home country does not natively speak English must meet at least one official English Proficiency test requirement.
All documents must include official grades or a GPA. GPA is evaluated for each country by Jacksonville State University based on a US grade equivalency table. JSU requires a minimum 2.00/4.00 GPA for admission. We do accept 3rd party credential evaluations from NACES members such as International Education Evaluations.

International Baccalaureate (IB)
IB transcript required. GPA is evaluated based on a US grade equivalency table. Must complete a minimum of 6 subjects with minimum of 24 points. Essay points are not included in the GPA calculation. College credit could be awarded advanced credits for IB HL courses; WES course by course evaluation report is required for any possible credits.
General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE or IGCSE)
Entry requirements will vary across the US but as a minimum you will likely need 5 GCSEs A* - C to include English and Math with post-16 qualifications (ie A-Levels). For more competitive universities, you will need to be studying at least 3 A-Levels or their equivalent. For less competitive universities, vocational qualifications, such as BTEC National Extended Diplomas may be considered.
Afghanistan
Baccalauria (Baccalaureate) required. GPA is evaluated based on a US grade equivalency table. Must meet at least one official English Proficiency test requirement.
Albania
Deftese Pjekurie or Diplomë e Maturës Shtetërore (Certificate of Maturity) required. GPA is evaluated based on a US grade equivalency table. Must meet at least one official English Proficiency test requirement.
Argentina

Bangladesh
Higher secondary certificate (HSC) reports required. Reports will be verified through Bangladesh’s government education board and the GPA is evaluated based on a US grade equivalency table. Must meet at least one official English Proficiency test requirement.
