The JSU Police Department advises students to be on the lookout for mail containing unexpected checks from unknown persons or from those posing as potential employers. There have been several attempts to defraud victims of funds from their personal bank accounts by sending worthless checks by mail. As always, if an offer looks too good to be true it probably is. Please report any suspicious activity to campus police at 256-782-5050 and use caution when giving personal information to unknown parties.
