2. Complete the Graduate Application for Music Study.

3. Submit the Graduate Application for Assistantship Award, if desired – due February 1^st for Fall Semester.

4. Take the Graduate Music Placement Exam – 2^nd Saturday before Fall Semester classes begin.

6. Take the Graduate Music Placement Exam – Spring Semester.

7. Schedule an Appointment with your:

• Graduate Music Studies Advisor or Music Department Chair for Advisement before registering for classes ( Dr. Renée Baptiste – baptiste@jsu.edu or  Dr. Legare McIntosh – mcintosh@jsu.edu).  
• Develop a Graduate Course of Study with your advisor or the department chair during the first semester.

8. Complete Graduate Application for Comprehensive Exam/Degree.

9. Submit Graduate Application for Candidacy after the completion of 26 credit hours.

• GRADUATION DEADLINES:
  • October 1 for Fall Graduation
  • February 1 for Spring Graduation
  • June 1 for Summer Graduation

10. Take Written Comprehensive Exam – 10^th week of semester (March 11-15, 2013).

• PART I: Wednesday from 1:00 - 4:00 pm
• PART II: Friday from 1:00 - 4:00 pm

11. Take Oral Comprehensive Exam – 13^th week of semester (April 1-5), schedule with Candidate’s Committee.
