At Jacksonville State University approximately 83% of our students receive some type of financial aid. So there is ample opportunity for students who seek financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA.) A FAFSA is used to determine a student's need/eligibility for financial aid. Since JSU will prepare a financial aid package only after receipt of the results of the FAFSA and any additional paperwork that may be required, it is recommended that each applicant to the university complete their financial aid file before the March 15 priority deadline. Students may continue to complete their financial aid files after this date, but may not be awarded prior to the tuition due date if completed after July. Be sure to have your application for admission to JSU completed first!
Our Office is here to help and assist you with any concerns or questions that you may have about the financial aid process. Please check My.JSU (follow the financial aid links) as this is your personal inside scoop on your financial aid requirements and awards once we have received your FAFSA.
