Roxanne Stancil

Hello! I’m Roxanne Stancil, Associate Director of Recruitment Communication and Technology at Jacksonville State University and a proud Jax State graduate.

I’ve been part of the Admissions team since 2018, beginning as an Admissions Counselor. Today, I oversee the strategy for undergraduate and graduate recruitment communication and lead our recruitment communication team, helping create clear, helpful messages that guide prospective students and their families throughout their journey to Jax State. I also have the privilege of helping lead our student assistant program, working alongside an outstanding group of students who are eager to share their own Jax State experiences.

Originally from Blount County, Alabama, I came to Jax State with the help of a scholarship that made my college goals possible. As a student, I served as a resident assistant, ambassador, and student employee. Those experiences, along with faculty and staff who knew my name and invested in me, continue to shape how I serve students today.

One of my proudest professional moments was receiving the 2024 “Friendliest Campus in the South” award at Jax State’s staff awards program. My goal is simple: help people recognize their potential, feel valued, and find the place where they can thrive.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me walking the Chief Ladiga Trail, reading a good book, spending time with friends, or heading out on an outdoor adventure.
