Skye Strauss is the History, Literature, and Criticism professor for the Department of Theatre and Film at Jacksonville State University. Her research spans design, scenography, and puppetry to highlight how materiality affects performance creation – in other words, she studies “how objects tell stories.” Her writing has been featured in TD&T, Puppetry International, and PAJ and she enjoys editing book reviews for PIR and reviewing for the Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival. When she is not lecturing or at the library, you can find her making magical things – like puppets!
