The fall semester and 2017-2018 academic year kick off at Jacksonville State University on August 23 and JSU Student Affairs has put together an exciting lineup of activities and special events to welcome students to campus in style! Check out the Welcome Week calendar:

- Solar Eclipse Party & "Sun, Shade and the SGA," 1-5 p.m., TMB Lawn - Bring your swim gear and towel to this fun filled water day.

- International Student Welcome, 4-6 p.m., International House - Come make our international students feel welcome!
- Beach Volleyball, 5-10 p.m., Stephenson Hall - Get a team together or join one when you arrive.

- Walk/Run/Bike event, 9 a.m., Turf Field next to Paul Carpenter Village - Looking to find other friends to walk, run, bike or just workout with? Meet University Recreation at the Turf Field! Bring your own bike and helmet, or check-out some from us if you get here in time! Faculty and staff are welcome!
- Residence Life Carnival, 12-4 p.m., Quad

- Campus Tours, 2-4 p.m., Quad - Bring your class schedule, get a tour specific to your classroom locations, and learn the Gamecock Express routes!

- Wear RED, Get FED Cookout, 6-8 p.m., Alumni House - Like it says.. Wear your JSU gear and get fed by the Student Alumni Association

- Spirit on Mountain Street festival with Riley Green, 6-9:30 p.m., in front of Meehan Hall - Meet new friends, taste food from community restaurants, and listen to some great live music! Riley Green will perform at 8 p.m.
