Trace Coppock
Engineering Support Staff, Center for Manufacturing Support
Trace Coppock is a student assistant in Jacksonville State University’s Center for Manufacturing Support (CMS), where he works extensively in the 3D Print Lab on industry and research projects. Trace has gained hands-on experience operating and maintaining a wide range of additive manufacturing systems, including polymer and composite printers, and is developing expertise in Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) techniques.
He has his Markforged University Additive Expert Certification which provides him with advanced knowledge of composite and metal additive manufacturing workflows. At the CMS, Trace supports projects for regional companies, applying modern design and fabrication methods to create innovative solutions for real-world manufacturing challenges.
Through his role, Trace continues to strengthen his skills in applied engineering, additive design, and production optimization—embodying the Center’s mission to advance manufacturing practices through practical learning and industry collaboration.
