Tony Monroy

Tony Monroy joined Jax State in 2024 as the Training Coordinator for The Center For Best Practices in Law Enforcement. Previously, he served as Chief Investigator at the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office where he dedicated 14 years of his life to serving the community around him. Tony is a certified FBI Police Firearms Instructor and is trained in Homicide Investigations by the New York City Police Department. He was also presented with the Jefferson CO. Sheriff Office’s Director’s Award in 2010. Currently, Tony helps with the CFBPLE offering free training to law enforcement personnel in the state of Alabama.

With extensive experience in investigations and community relations, Tony strives to expand educational opportunities for fellow officers.
