Jianping "Coco" Huang

Dr. Huang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Marketing and Management and she supervises the Wakefiled Consumer Research Laboratory at Jacksonville State University. She received her Ph.D. and Master’s degrees from The University of Memphis and hold an MBA degree from Nanjing University, China. Prior to beginning her academic career, she worked for 10 years as a purchase manager in auto industry.
Dr. Huang' research involves strategic marketing plans, primarily in the context of cross cultural services, advertisement, Geo- marketing, and marketing to children. Dr. Huang pursues research opportunities that emphasize the application of physiological and neurological measurement systems e.g., eye -tracking with her students in studying attention, emotion, and engagement.
Her work has been published in Journals of Advertising Research, Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, Journal of Promotion Management, International Journal of Sales, Retailing, Marketing, Marketing Education Review, and The Cardinal Arts Journal. Her research has been recognized at several international conferences, including the AMA (American Marketing Association), AMA Public & Policy, AMS (Academy of Marketing Science), the Society of Marketing Science conferences (SMA) and Atlantic Marketing Association.
