Greetings, Fellow Gamecocks!

Jacksonville State University’s Office of Alumni Engagement fosters and strengthens the relationship between Jax State and its alumni, family, and friends; preserves and promotes the university’s traditions, purposes, growth, development, goals, strategic vision, and mission; and keeps the spirit of affection, respect, and gratitude for our alma mater alive.

Jax State has more than 78,000 living alumni, and our alumni can be found in all 50 states and in more than 105 countries. We welcome our Gamecock family to campus for various activities and events, but we also travel to meet our alumni to build community and provide university updates, programming, and engagement opportunities to our alumni who find it difficult to visit and want to remain involved with The Friendliest Campus in the South.

Currently, we have 23 area and affinity networks and are working to expand our networks in other areas of Alabama as well as parts of Tennessee and Florida. The Office of Alumni Engagement and the Alumni Association provide opportunities such as dinners, lunches, State of the University addresses, athletic event gatherings, and trips for our Cocky Travelers, just to name a few. All alumni are invited to participate in these activities that allow you to meet and build relationships with Gamecocks in your town or city, as well as meet other leaders from our beloved Jax State. I do encourage you to join the Alumni Association for fun Gamecock swag, discounts, and other networking opportunities provided specifically for our members.

Alumni engagement is continuing relationships with your Jax State family after you graduate. I encourage you to continue to share your journey with your college community so we can help cheer you on. Stay connected, learn how Jax State is continuing excellence through new programs and growth, and meet fellow Gamecocks that are in your area. I hope to see you or meet you soon!
