In 2002, the Student Government Association designed a council to be the governing body for all organizations on campus. Since the inception of the Organizational Council, it has come so far! As the youngest division of the SGA, the O.C. provides organizations the opportunity to come together and have one common voice in making decisions that concern student organizations on campus!
The purpose of the Organizational Council is to ensure that each organization has a voice and foster a spirit of unity among all organizations.
Every organization is encouraged to activate their seat and become a recognized group as well as a voice on the council by sending one delegate to each Organizational Council meeting. Meetings are every first and third Tuesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the TMB Auditorium.
SGA Vice President of Organizational Affairs, Ariel Tolson is preparing food items to be donated by campus organizations to Jacksonville Christian Outreach Center. The SGA encourages community service projects from the Organizational Council.
