Local businesses have teamed up with Alpha Xi Delta and Autism Speaks to raise awareness for autism.

Local businesses have teamed up with Alpha Xi Delta and Autism Speaks to raise awareness for autism. They will be selling select items and donating part of the proceeds to Autism Speaks during the entire first week of April. Look for our Autism Speaks donation buckets around town. We will be giving cookies for donations of $1 or more in the cafe starting Tuesday. This event is all week! End the week with us at the JSU softball game. The softball players will be wearing blue ribbons in support of Autism Awareness.

Funeral Services Announced for Dr. R. Douglas Peters

Funeral service for Dr. R. Douglas Peters, 69, will be Saturday, April 6, 2013, at 12 p.m. at K.L. Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Center Chapel in Jacksonville with the Rev. Ted Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. Dr. Peters died Monday, April 1, 2013, at his residence.
