Jacksonville State University congratulates the following students who were added to the President's and Deans' Lists for Fall 2012. To be named to the President's List, a student must earn a perfect 4.0 grade point average, or all A's. Students earning all A's and B's are named to the Deans' List.

Calling All Singers-- Civic Chorale Begins Rehearsals for Spring Season on January 14

On Monday, January 14, 2013 the Calhoun County Civic Chorale will begin rehearsals for its spring concert season. Rehearsals are held Monday evenings from 7:15 p.m. – 9:15 p.m. in the Performance Center of Mason Hall and the Jacksonville State University campus. The Chorale will be joining forces with the JSU A Cappella Choir to perform Mozart’s Requiem.

Scaleback Alabama Kicks Off January 22

Jacksonville State University will once again be participating with hundreds of other organizations in a statewide weight-loss program called “Scale Back Alabama.” The 10-week program is designed to capitalize on those New Year’s resolutions and create a fun atmosphere for weight loss and physical activity. We’re asking employees interested in losing weight to form teams of four individuals (including a captain) and to sign up during the week of Jan. 22 - 25.
 
JSU to Host Emerging Leaders Day on February 28

Jacksonville State University will host its 13th Annual Emerging Leaders’ Day on February 28, 2013. This event will give high school juniors from more than 120 schools in 16 counties in Alabama and Georgia the opportunity to hear from a nationally-recognized motivational speaker, participate in leadership activities, and speak with JSU student leaders about college life.
