Mathematical, Computing, & Information Sciences
Located in 119 Ayers Hall and part of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Sciences, the Department of Mathematical, Computing, and Information Sciences (MCIS) houses the Mathematics progream as well as the ABET-accredited Computer Science and Computer Information Systems programs.
Our programs provide a balance between the theoretical and the applied, emphasizing quality instruction and encouraging research and other scholarly activities to strengthen this emphasis.
We offer three Bachelor of Science degrees and two Master of Science degrees, with a variety of concentrations to tailor students’ learning experience. We also offer five minors and courses for students seeking a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with a concentration in mathematics.
