Custom training for colleges, departments, or other faculty groups of five or more is available through the Office of Distance Education.
Sessions can be scheduled in an online virtual classroom (our recommended method for ease of access by all faculty and because of the recording features available), the Distance Education lab in Self Hall, or another location on campus. The faculty member scheduling training in other locations on campus will be responsible for reserving lab space, reserving necessary AV equipment (computer, LCD projector, projection screen), and ensuring that the lab computers meet system requirements for training.
In order to coordinate training requests, one representative of the faculty group of at least five (departmental or interdepartmental) should send an e-mail to DLHelp@jsu.edu with the following information:
- Topic(s) to be covered in the training session
- Names of faculty who plan to attend
- At least three date/time options for sessions desired; sessions will need to begin after 9:00 a.m. and must be completed by 4:00 p.m. (all times CT)
- Desired location of training (virtual classroom, Self Hall, or another location on campus)
