Research Interests
| I am a Developmental Toxicologist with a broad interest range. I am interested in determining which chemicals, compounds and mixtures cause developmental anomalies (like birth defects). I am interested in environmental and aquatic toxicology as well. I have worked with embryos from sea urchins, snails, grass shrimp, quail, and frogs. I am interested in chemicals and mixtures that cause problems during the time-period between blastula and free-living larvae. These interactions are extremely important in understanding potential hazards in drug therapy or the environment. I am also interested in investigating potential developmental hazards in the northeast Alabama area. I have been involved with water testing around the army incinerator and the Monsanto plant in Anniston. |
