Fall 2023 Preview Day Schedule

Check-in & Customized Schedule

The day will begin in one of three locations across campus. Your starting location is detailed in your pre-event email, along with a video explaining the layout of the day. Make sure to note where you will be checking in for the day, as there is not one central check-in location. Your pre-event email will also contain a link to your personalized QR code for check-in. Please have your QR code ready when you arrive. At Preview Day, you will be able to choose your own schedule which can include academic information, student organization/services information, campus tours, and an admissions and financial aid information session. There are several optional open houses you can attend to enhance your campus visit. These include our residence halls, international house, student success center, campus bookstore, and more. Check them all out on the agenda! 

Guests

Four guests are allowed per student at Preview Days.

Parking

Free student & guest parking will be at the rear of the Houston Cole Library, The University Recreational Center, & the Theron Montgomery Building. Directional signage will be placed across campus to point you towards the right direction.

Lunch

Please note that lunch is not provided during Preview Day. Discounts will be offered at locations around Jacksonville for lunch and shopping!

Comfort and Accessibility

Events take you across campus on Preview Days, so please dress comfortably and weather-appropriately as you will be walking outside to buildings across campus, regardless of weather. Our educational programs and facilities are accessible to people with disabilities. Reasonable accommodations can be provided at the request of guests and visitors with disabilities. Inclement Weather

Should there be any changes to the schedule due to weather related issues, you will be notified at your personal email address and information will be posted on the JSU website. The University consults with the local Emergency Management Agency office, the National Weather Service, and the Alabama Department of Transportation when making decisions on the operation of campus.

If you have been diagnosed with COVID-19, are awaiting test results, or feel ill, please reschedule your visit for another time.
