10/27/2026

CPN BadgeJACKSONVILLE, Ala. — Jacksonville State University has again earned the Campus Prevention Network (CPN) Seal of Prevention™, a national recognition honoring colleges and universities for their commitment to student safety, well-being and success.

Presented by Vector Solutions, the 2026 Seal of Prevention recognizes institutions demonstrating excellence in evidence-based prevention and well-being programming. Only 12 percent of institutions and organizations nationwide earn the distinction.

“This recognition reflects the work happening across Jax State to create an environment where our students can be successful both inside and outside the classroom,” said Dr. Joshua Robinson, associate vice president for Student Affairs and Dean of Students. “Student well-being is a shared responsibility, and earning the Seal of Prevention again demonstrates the commitment of our faculty, staff and campus partners to providing students with the education, resources and support they need to make informed decisions and thrive during their time at Jax State.”

The Seal recognizes institutional efforts in areas including sexual assault and relationship violence prevention, mental health support, substance use education and community building.

To earn the distinction, institutions must demonstrate that their prevention efforts incorporate evidence-based program design and measurable outcomes, culturally relevant and appropriately timed interventions, sufficient reach throughout the student experience, well-trained facilitators, positive relationships and ongoing evaluation and improvement.

“Seal recipients represent the institutions leading higher education innovation in student success,” said Gil Schwartz, general manager of Education at Vector Solutions. “Their commitment to evidence-based, measurable approaches to prevention and well-being strengthens their communities and drives institutional performance.”

According to Vector Solutions, institutions earning the Seal report first-year retention rates 8.5 percent higher and on-time graduation rates 9.3 percent higher than institutions that do not earn the recognition.

Jax State is among more than 460 institutions nationwide earning the 2026 CPN Seal of Prevention. The annual recognition is based on the Principles of Effective Prevention Programs and recognizes institutions demonstrating a measurable commitment to research-backed prevention and student well-being initiatives.
