Jax State to Host Arbor Day Celebration April 2

Jacksonville State University will celebrate Arbor Day on Thursday, April 2, with a ceremony scheduled for 2 p.m. outside the Dining Hall. The event is free and open to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the public.
Hosted by Capital Planning & Facilities, the celebration highlights the university’s continued commitment to campus beautification, sustainability, and environmental stewardship. Jax State is recognized by the Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree Campus, a distinction awarded to colleges and universities that demonstrate a commitment to effective urban forest management and student engagement in conservation efforts.
Community members are invited to attend and take part in recognizing the importance of trees and green spaces across campus.
