University Returns to Normal Operations on Jan. 17.


Jax State will return to normal operations on Wednesday, January 17.
Returning to class and work in wintery conditions may present challenges for some.  All members of the campus community are encouraged to exercise their best judgement and utilize your local emergency management officials regarding road conditions when making plans to return to class or work. 

  • Students who are unable to attend class should inform their faculty by email or as directed in their syllabus.  
  • Employees, who may need to deviate from their normal schedule, please consult JSU's Personal Visitors/Children in the Workplace Policy (Policy #I:02:21). Please work with your supervisor if a delayed work start time is required. Staff can use the "Campus Closure (CLO)" payroll code to account for the missed hours in the morning.
JSU will continue to monitor weather conditions and provide updates on changing conditions and operational decisions. Please remain weather aware and stay safe.
