International House Honors Students at Annual Banquet

Outstanding students were recognized for their achievements over the past academic year.
JSU's International House held its annual awards banquet on April 8 honoring outstanding students for their achievements over the past academic year. Sponsored by the International Endowment Foundation, the event was held in the MAC Court at the University Recreation Center.
Award winners included:
- Favour Ezenwiwe of Nigeria - Alabama Federation of Women’s Club Award
- Chih Kang of Taiwan - Anniston Rotary Award
- Ara Madera of the Philippines - Alpha Delta Kappa Award
- Emily Mims of Clanton, Ala. - James H. Jones Award
- Silvia Paz of Honduras - John R. Stewart Award
- Bless Vincent of Loganville, Ga. - Sharon Lindsey Dempsey Award
Philip and Donna McClellan were presented the Clay and Betty Award for their years of support of the International House and Programs.
The JSU International House is a global learning and living community that strives to contribute to the globalization of campus and the local community. Currently, 17 different countries are represented in the house, including the United States.
