Meet the Candidates at Public Forum on August 9

Not sure who to vote for in Jacksonville’s upcoming city elections? Mark your calendar for the JSU Candidate Forum on August 9, 7 p.m., at Ernest Stone Performing Arts Center. City council and school board candidates will participate in the forum, moderated by political science major and vice president of Student Senate Hayden Clay.
The agenda will include one-minute introductions from each of the candidates, followed by one-minute presentations of the candidates' views on topics including economic development, city budget, infrastructure, civic engagement, and the city’s relationship with JSU and the school district. The evening will wrap up with one-minute closing statements from the candidates.
The event is sponsored by the Student Government Association and hosted by the Department of Political Science and Public Administration. Admission is open to the public.
