Don Thacker Named Interim Vice President of Administrative and Business Affairs

President John M. Beehler has selected Don Thacker to serve as Interim Vice President of Administrative and Business Affairs effective January 1, 2016. He will fill the position on an interim basis, following the retirement of Allyson Barker, while a search for the permanent vice president takes place.

Thacker is no stranger to Jacksonville State University. He served as Vice President of Administrative and Business Affairs until his retirement in June 2002 and, more recently, as Interim Internal Auditor.

“Don is extremely knowledgeable about the position and he can step into that role immediately,” said President Beehler. “I am grateful that he has agreed to serve on an interim basis until a full-time replacement has been identified.”

Don and his wife, Lisa, reside in Gadsden.
