Mental Health Fair and Free Screenings Slated for Nov. 19


The JSU College of Nursing and Counseling Services are partnering to host a free mental health fair on Thursday, November 19, 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. in the TMB Auditorium. Screenings will be conducted by students from the College of Nursing. Information about mental health conditions and resources will also be available.

According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI):

  • Forty-four percent of college students have symptoms of depression.
  • One in five adults in America experience a mental illness.
  • Sixteen million American adults live with major depression.
  • Depression is the leading cause of disability worldwide.
